Insurance and International Patients

UI Health's transplant service accepts many different types of insurance. Medicare and Illinois Public Aid are usually accepted. As these contracts are subject to change, it is best to contact our center at kidneytransplant@uic.edu if you have specific questions about your insurance.

Due to our specific experience with obese and medically complex patients, a good number of international patients are referred to us each year. We have experience working with cash-paying patients and patients from all parts of the world.
