Dr. Pierpaolo Di Cocco practices in the Division of Transplantation at UI Health. He received his Medical Degree (2005) and his Surgical Residency (2011) at the University of L’Aquila in Italy. He earned his PhD in Solid Organ Transplantation at the University of L’Aquila (2014). Dr. Di Cocco simultaneously completed both ASTS Multi-Organ Transplantation Fellowship and Abdominal Multi-Organ Transplantation Fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Di Cocco has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, presented his work at national and international meetings, and is highly involved in on-going transplant research. Dr. Di Cocco’s interests include kidney and pancreas transplantation.
